Yet another idea for decorating the outside of your home are outside Christmas decorations.  Candy canes lined up on either side of your driveway or walkway really get you in the Christmas spirit.  These are normally made of metal and are durable enough to withstand any kind of wintry weather. 

If you look around, you may even be able to find some special Christmas statues and ornaments made of stone or fiberglass that will last forever.
